Skating in the Oklahoma Winter.

I almost forgot I started a skateboarding blog.  The last month and a half or so has been fairly eventful, as far as traveling and visiting new skateparks and spots.  A friend and I took a whirlwind of a trip down to Austin, TX for a weekend of skating and debauchery.  On the way down we visited a few places worth mentioning.  The first being Ardmore's skatepark.  If you live in Oklahoma and have not skated Ardmore, well then I question your love for skateboarding.  It has a really fun bowl, a decent street section, and a small snake run leading into the bowl.  Check it.  Below is a mediocre run down the snake and into the bowl section by yours truly.

After Ardmore, we were off to Austin, where we stopped at the Salt Lick for lunch.  The Lick is right outside Austin in Round Rock, and it has the most amazing BBQ I have ever had.  it totally lives up to the hype surrounding it.  We then went and had a quick session at the Round Rock skatepark.  I forgot to take any pics, oops.  Bu the park is fun and you should check it out if ever in the area.  The park is built on a hill, with the bowl section at the top, and the street portion flowing down the hill to the bottom where a quarter and a hip and two fun-ass banks sit.  YouTube it.
Austin has a bunch of great spots and fun skateparks. So, between drinks and taco trucks we tried to skate as much as possible.  Didn't work too well.  The only park we hit was Mable Davis.  Pretty fun, alot of kids.  The bowl section wasn't my favorite, and the street part was crowded.  Plus I was about three sheets to the wind.  Made my few slams not all that bad though.  A friend took some pics but has yet to get them to me, so, oh well.

December is always a crazy month.  Tried to skate a bunch, but didn't.   Found a new fun spot on Covell Rd. in Edmond.  It is under the train tracks in the newly remodeled bridge.  Pretty good bank with a nice roll down to it.  See attached pics.  Needs butter and I haven't been back to do it yet.  Pics courtesy of Darrin Hill.
To end this little post, here's a repost of a pic of me from the new addition at the Pawhuska park.  Fun shit.
